We have the following interactive presentations ready for grown-up audiences.

How to Write, Design, and Illustrate Your Book – Our most popular presentation! Learn insider tips about the publishing industry, the secrets of creating books which sell, how to design a book and self publish it. Learn how to illustrate a book or work with an illustrator to provide artwork which will work in your book. A 45 minute presentation of practical tips, resources, and solid know-how for creating your own book.  Best if a 30 to 45 minute Q&A session is added to the presentation time to allow attendees time to explore their ideas with us.

How to Start Your Own Business – Learn how we started our business and how you can start yours! We point you to specific resources which can help you start your business and provide helpful hints and tips on what to do to build your dream business. A 30 minute presentation on how we started our business. We suggest including a 30 minute Q&A session.

Writing Fairy Tales – A 30 minute presentation which identifies the specific elements that give a story the “fairy tale” feel so writers can construct their own fairy tales.  Compares fairy tales to other short story writing.  An excellent presentation to start a fairy tale writing segment in a class or for a writing or book club.  We suggest including a 15 to 20 minute Q&A session.

Illustrating Books – A 30 minute presentation which discusses the differences between producing fine art pieces and illustrations for books.  Covers the importance of aspect ratio, book size, stylistic elements, art medium, book layout, characterization, and object selection for enhancing the story.  An excellent presentation to start a book-illustrating art project in an art class.  We suggest including a 15 to 20 minute Q&A session.

Meet the Author Sessions:

What is a “Meet the Author” session?  A “Meet the Author” session is an opportunity to talk with an active publishing team and ask questions about life as an author, the team’s published books, the next project, and how creativity works for this author and illustrator.  We work as a team so our “Meet the Author” session includes both Mack and Celia.  We are happy to answer your questions about what it is like to write and illustrate books and how we got published.  We suggest reading one or more of our books prior to the session so you are familiar with our work.

Praise for How to Write, Design, and Illustrate Your Book:

“I loved your presentation! It really opened my eyes to all of the work involved with publishing a book and making it a reality. I want to thank you for helping me realize that I can actually finish this book like I have always wanted to and actually have the chance to get it published!”
